Content: |
The subject of commutative algebra are commutative rings and modules over these. Among the many fields drawing upon commtutive algebra are first and foremost algebraic and arithmetic geometry, but, for example, also topology and representation theory.
|
Prerequisites: |
Good knowledge of linear algebra. Some facts from Galois theory will be useful at certain points in the course, but are not strictly necessary.
|
Exam: |
