Research Seminar on Algebraic Topology, Winter Term 2022/23

In the winter term 2022/23 we will meet every second Thursday at 14:15h for a working seminar and at 16:15h for a research talk. The dates are 27/10/22, 10/11/22, 24/11/22, 08/12/22, 22/12/22, 19/01/23 and 02/02/23.

The topic for the working seminar is left-induced model structures, based on the papers

• Hess, Kathryn; Kȩdziorek, Magdalena; Riehl, Emily; Shipley, Brooke A necessary and sufficient condition for induced model structures. J. Topol. 10 (2017), no. 2, 324--369
• Garner, Richard; Kȩdziorek, Magdalena; Riehl, Emily Lifting accessible model structures. J. Topol. 13 (2020), no. 1, 59--76.

We will start with a short recap on model structures, including what right- and left-induced model structures are (1 talk). Then we discuss the criteria for obtaining left-induced model structures (2 talks) and examples (1 talk). BR and JH will give talks then on examples of the homotopy theory for coalgebras in two different contexts. If you would like to give a talk in the working seminar, then please send us an email.
