Geometric Flows and the Geometry of Space-time
September 19-23, 2016
This 5-day summer school and workshop is adressed to researchers in differential geometry and theoretical physics.
There will be three minicourses about geometric flows (O. Schnürer), black holes (G. Gibbons) and Lorentzian geometry (H. Baum).
The main part of the program consists of research talks which consist of two parts, one of which will be of a more introductory nature and thus should be accessible also for PhD students.
Preliminary list of speakers:
Lars Andersson (AEI Golm)
Helga Baum (HU Berlin)
Spiros Cotsakis (University of the Aegean and AUM)
Pau Figueras (Cambridge)
Gary Gibbons (Cambridge)
Mark Haskins (Imperial)
Thomas Leistner (Adelaide)
Jason Lotay (UC London)
Jan Metzger (Potsdam)
Oliver Schnürer (Konstanz)
The summer school and workshop is funded by the Research Training Group 1670 "Mathematics inspired by String Theory and Quantum Field Theory" and the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 676 "Particles, Strings and the Early Universe".
