I have graduated in Physics at the Federico II University of Naples on the July 14th 2004 under the supervision of Prof. Fedele Lizzi after discussing the thesis "Noncommutative Spaces and Limits of Matrix Algebras" (pdf in italian).

In my master thesis I have learnt about Noncommutative Geometry, which is a formalism that allows to generalize concepts in geometry in order to incorporate quantum effects. In a nutshell, the concept of point becomes secondary, sometimes even meaningless, and all the topological and geometrical information are encoded via algebraic structures. When this algebras are commutative one obtains a dual description of classical geometry, recovering all the relevant notions.
