About invariant metrics on homogenous spaces attached to the Jacobi group
Abstract: The semidirect product of the Heisenberg group H_n with Sp(n,R) is called the Jacobi group G^J_n and has important applications in Physics and Mathematics. The real Jacobi group G^J₁(R) is embedded in the group Sp(2,R), realized as group of 4x4 matrices. We study the left invariant metrics on SL(2,R), the 4-dimensional Siegel-Jacobi upper half plane, a 5-dimensional manifold, called extended Siegel-Jacobi upper half-plane, and the 6-dimensional Jacobi group.
