Results: Example 3

This example shows a non trivial grouping: the more complicated fish consists of eighteen arcs, which have to be grouped to fit to the only four arcs of the simpler drawing. The groupmatching again is conform to human intuition: the correspondence between the fishtails and th bodies is found.

How to understand the example:
The image shows the two figures to be compared in the stage of abstraction the decomposition is made. The groups in each figure are coloured in black and blue, alternating. The first group is coloured red. Corresponding groups have the same group-index, directly drawn beneath their starting point. The groups are numbered counterclockwise.
