Special Geometric Structures in Mathematics and Physics
September 8-12, 2014

This 5-day workshop aims to bring together researchers in various fields of differential geometry with theoretical physicists. Each speaker will give two talks, one of which will be of a more introductory nature, thus making the workshop accessible also for PhD students.

The workshop is funded by the Research Training Group 1670 "Mathematics inspired by String Theory and Quantum Field Theory" and the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 676 "Particles, Strings and the Early Universe".

The lectures will start on Monday, September 8, at 9:30 am (registration will be possible from 8:30 am to 9:30 am), and end on Friday, September 12, at 5:30 pm.
Courses will take place at the Department of Mathematics, Bundesstraße 55. Please follow the link to obtain detailed information on how to get there.
NEW: There will be a poster session. In case you want to present a poster, please contact the organizers at sgstructures [at] math [dot] uni-hamburg [dot] de until July 31, 2014.
On wednesday afternoon there will be a guided tour through the city, followed by a conference dinner.

There will be a registration fee of 50€ to be payed upon arrival.
