You will find us in the "Geomatikum" at the intersection of "Bundesstrasse" and "Beim Schlump". Please refer to this map. In this outline map you can find the locations of the departments/faculties of the University of Hamburg. By clicking onto the red spots or the name of a faculty you can zoom for more detail.

How to get here...

...from the Airport: (Ticket: one way single: € 2,70):

-Trains (Rapid Transit) bis -station "Ohlsdorf" OR
Bus to -station "Ohlsdorf" OR Bus to -station "Alsterdorf",
then rail to "Kellinghusenstraße" and finally railway to "Schlump" (workingdays: busses are going every 10 minutes and trains every 5 minutes, total ride time to "Schlump" about 30 minutes),
 

...from the Main Station (Ticket: one way single: € 1,65):

-Trains (Rapid Transit) , oder bis "Sternschanze" (workingdays every 8 minutes max. total ride time 5 minutes)
or -Trains (Rapid Transit) from "Hauptbahnhof-Nord" to "Schlump" (workingdays every 5 minutes, total ride time 7 minutes)
or -Trains (Rapid Transit) from "Hauptbahnhof-Süd" to "Schlump" (workingdays every 5 minutes, total ride time 19 minutes, nice trip along the harbour
 

...from long distance station Hamburg-Altona: (Ticket: one way single: € 1,65):

-Trains (Rapid Transit) or to "Sternschanze" (workingdays every 10 minutes max., total ride time 6 minutes)
or Bus to "Schlump/Bundesstraße" (workingdays every 10 minutes, total ride time 11 minutes)
 

...by Car:

Since the number of parking lots is very limited in the vicinity of the Geomatikum it is not recommended to visit us by car. However, by zooming and moving this map clipping by "Google-Maps" you will find us.

Tickets

Tickets issued by the Deutsche Bahn AG to the destination "Hamburg" are also valid on "-Bahn-trains" (Rapid Transit) on the route "Hauptbahnhof - Sternschanze - Altona".

If you want to use -Trains (Rapid Transit) and/or busses as well, it is required to purchase a ticket of "Hamburger Verkehrsverbunde". (We recommend to purchase a "9Uhr-Tageskarte"-ticket. It is valid workingdays after 9.00am and all-day on weekends and official holidays. Any number of trips in the Greater Hamburg Area "Großbereich Hamburg" (within the grey oval on this map on , and busses, except 1^st-Class and Express Busses ("Schnellbus"): 5,30 €).

There is also a 3-Day-Ticket ("3-Tages-Karte") available valid all-day in the Greater Hamburg Area "Großbereich Hamburg" (s.a.) at: 15,60 €
