Research Seminar - Summer term 2015
Description:
This is the joint research seminar of the groups
of Christoph Wockel, Christoph Schweigert and Ingo Runkel.
The seminar takes place
- Tuesdays 14:15-15:45 in room 434
The plan for this term is to study aspects of non-semisimple 3d topological field theory. The topics to be discussed are:
- Jan Hesse: Modular tensor categories, 3d Reshetikhin-Turaev topological field theory, projective SL(2,Z)-action on state space of torus.
- Vanda Farsad und Lorenz Hilfiker: Braided Hopf algebras, coends, Lyubashenko coend is a Hopf algebra, Hopf-pairing. Example: semisimple ribbon categories, non-degeneracy. Example: Quasi-triangular Hopf algebras, Lyubashenko coend in Rep(H), non-degeneracy.
- Jan Priel: Parts of 3d TFT from non-semisimple non-degenerate ribbon categories following Lyubashenko, state spaces assigned to marked surfaces, action of the mapping class group, SL(2,Z)-action on state space of torus.
- Azat Gainutdinov and Simon Lentner: Link- and 3-manifold invariants constructed from the non-semisimple representation theory of the "unrolled" Uq(sl2), following Costantino, Geer and Patureau-Mirand.
The plan for the individual sessions is so far (subject to change):
- 7.4.: topic 1
- 14.4.: topic 1/2
- 21.4.: topic 2
- 28.4.: Nicolás Andruskiewitsch will give an informal seminar on "Pointed Hopf algebras with finite Gelfand-Kirillov dimension" (joint work with I. Angiono and I. Heckenberger).
- 5.5.: topic 2/3
- 12.5., 15.5, 19.5: three lectures by Alain Bruguières on "Hopf monads on monoidal categories and applications"
- 2.6.: topic 3
- 9.6.: topic 4
- 16.6.: (no seminar)
- 23.6.: topic 4
- 30.6.: topic 4
- 7.7.: (buffer)
