Gegeben sind f(x) = 2 x + 1 und g(x) = x + 3.
Für alle reellen Zahlen x gilt dann
( f ° g ) ( x ) = f ( g ( x )) = f ( x + 3) =
2 ( x + 3 ) + 1 = 2 x + 7
( g ° f ) ( x ) = g( f ( x )) = g ( 2 x + 1)
= ( 2 x +1) + 3 = 2 x + 4 = ( f ° g ) ( x ) - 3
Damit ist ( f ° g ) ( x ) stets größer als ( g ° f ) ( x ).
