Property 6: Detection of Line Segments

It is a known problem in image processing to find line segments within noisy images, e.g. detection of architectural objects, since simple tracing algorithms (e.g. [5]) are extremly sensible to noise.

The noise reduction property of our algorithm respects noisy deformations such that especially line segments can be detected, see the image for an example.
