Summer school on Differential Geometry and Supersymmetry
September 10-14, 2012
The purpose of this summer school is to bring together advanced students (Master's and graduate) and postdocs, of Mathematics and theoretical Physics, in the framework of four minicourses on topics of common interest. It will be held September 10-14, 2012, at the University of Hamburg.
The summer school is a joint activity of the Research Training Group 1670 "Mathematics inspired by String Theory and Quantum Field Theory" and the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 676 "Particles, Strings and the Early Universe".
Each of the four minicourses will consist of both lectures and exercise/discussion sessions. Topics are:
You can download the conference poster here.
- G-Structures (D. Alekseevsky)
- Supergeometry (A. Galaev)
- Foliations (D. Töben)
- Supersymmetric Field Theories (A. van Proeyen)
Courses will take place at the Department of Mathematics, Bundesstraße 55, in Lecture Hall 2. Please follow the link to obtain detailed information on how to get there.
On Wednesday afternoon there will be a joint boat trip, followed by a dinner. The registration fee includes the costs for the boat trip.
You can download the schedule here.

Slides and exercises for Antoine van Proeyen's lectures
There will be a registration fee of 50€ to be payed upon arrival.
Financial support and accomodation:
We expect to cover the local costs (i.e., payment of the hotel room) for (a limited number of) participants who applied for funding. Please indicate on the registration form whether you wish to use one of the reserved rooms (either Hotel Boritzka close to the institute or elsewhere, depending on the number of participants).
