Algebra Seminar (Summer term 2013)

Veranstalter:

Ralf Holtkamp.

Description:

In this seminar we study some representation theory of finite groups, and of real or complex Lie groups (the special linear, orthogonal, and symplectic groups). The concentration will be on examples. The planned talks are:

  • 3 Representations of the Symmetric Groups . Following [FH, §4]. 22.04.13: NF

  • 4 Lie Algebras and Lie Groups . Following [FH, §7-8]. 29.04.13: NN

  • 5 Representations of sl(2,C) . Following [FH, §11]. 06.05.13: JS

  • 6/7 Representations of sl(3,C) . Following [FH, §12-13]. 13.05.13/27.05.13: JH/NN

  • 8/9 Representations of sl(n,C) . Following [FH, §14-15]. 03.06.13/10.06.13: YL/TJ

  • 10/11 Representations of the symplectic groups . Following [FH, §16-17]. 17.06.13/24.06.13: JB/NN
