Dr. Claus Goetz
Since November 2016 I am a PostDoc in Prof. Dr. A. Iske's working group.
I am part of the collaborative research center TRR 181 "Energy Transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean". Within project M5: "Reducing spurious diapycnal mixing in ocean models" I am working on the development and analysis of highorder advection methods relying on highorder flux evaluation.
Previously, until October 2016, I was a PostDoc at the University of
Trento (Italy).

Theoretical and numerical treatment of evolutionary PDEs, in particular
hyperbolic conservation laws. Numerical analysis of high order finite volume and
discontinuous Galerkin methods, generalized Riemann problems, WENO schemes, entropy stability
